My wake up call.Every day for a year now

I think its clever, maybe even ironic
Its called wakeup call
And it wakes me up
Though its not really a call
I've never really had a call that woke me up
I suppose that's a good thing
Nobody wants to know what somebody is about to say if they have the urgency to
wake you up at some ridiculous time of morning.
Like 1pm.
But maybe that wouldn't be a horrible thing.
Maybe whatever whoever has to say will effect me in a way
To be my figurative wakeup call
Its more than that.
That song represents the last year of my life
I've been waiting for my wakeup call.
Figuratively, literally and metaphoriclly
I've been searching for someone to save me
I'm gonna call it the princess syndrome
I need to stop that
1/3 of me thinks I'm amazing
1/3 of me thinks I'm useless
The other 1/3 of me is far to lazy to care.
So that leaves me here.
Lying in bed
Refusing to surrender that moment of self reflection you receive at the end of
each day.
I got work in a few hours
I might as well go to sleep now
Have to wait for my wakeup call
The literal and maybe the figurative..
